The index has over 1300 entries giving details of ‘ALIENS’ resident in the LIVERPOOL area at the time they applied for naturalisation. The details were extracted from the yearly returns published in British Parliamentary Papers (1879-1912). Before and after this date the full address is not recorded
so I have not included those years in the index. The National Archives holds the full details of each naturalisation [ HO 144 ] and has produced a
leaflet explaining the details of the system.
