FASHIONABLE WEDDING AT BOOTLE

Great interest was manifested at Bootle on Wednesday in the marriage of Mr Thomas Byrne, eldest son of Captain Byrne, of Liverpool and St John's, New Brunswick, to Miss Ellen Elizabeth Hall, daughter of Mrs Grannell and stepdaughter of Mr Denis Grannell, managing director of the Rotunda Theatre, and a gentleman well-known and largely respected in the north end of the city. The ceremony was performed at St Alexander's Church, which was crowded with friends and others, the officiating clergyman being the Rev Father Doran, uncle of the bridegroom, who was assisted by the Very Rev Canon Beggan and the Rev Father Keating. The bride was attired in a beautiful dress of white bengaline silk, trimmed with lace and orange blossoms, and had for her bridesmaids Miss Byrne and Miss Grannell, with Miss Jeanie Holmes and Master Bertie Monk as trainbearers, the bridegroom's best man being Mr F S Procter. At the wedding-breakfast, at Grafton House, Mr and Mrs Grannell entertained upwards of 70 guests. Mr and Mrs Byrne took their departure for London amid showers of rice and hearty congratulations.
